Marked Days privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
Marked Days doesn't collect anything. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the app doesn't send what you enter to me or to anyone else.
Who I am
I'm Colin Robey, and I make Marked Days on my own as CR Studios, in Burlington, Ontario. You can reach me at crstudiosdev@gmail.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Your countdowns, their settings and any pictures you add are saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone. The widgets read the same storage so they can show your countdowns. None of it is uploaded by the app.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, iOS may include the app's storage in that backup, under Apple's terms and your settings, not mine.
Photos
When you add a picture, you pick it with Apple's photo picker. The app gets only the photo you choose, saves a smaller copy of it, and never sees the rest of your library.
If you share a countdown as a picture and choose Save Image, iOS asks whether Marked Days may add photos to your library. That permission only lets the app add the picture; it can't read anything already there. You can turn it off any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Photos.
Calendar
If you tap From Calendar, iOS asks whether Marked Days may read your calendars. With your permission, the app lists your upcoming events on your iPhone so you can pick one, then copies that event's title and date into a new countdown. It doesn't change anything in your calendars. You can turn this off any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Calendars.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone with iOS notifications. There's no server involved.
Purchases
The optional Plus purchase goes through Apple. Apple handles payment, and I don't receive your name, email address or payment details.
Backup files
If you export a backup, the app writes one file and you choose where it goes, such as Files or iCloud Drive. The file holds your countdowns and pictures. It's yours; I never receive a copy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your countdowns and pictures stay on your iPhone until you delete them. Deleting a countdown in the app deletes its picture too, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. Backup files you exported stay wherever you saved them until you delete them. Since I never receive any of your data, there's nothing for me to keep or delete, but if you have a question about it, email me.
Children
Marked Days collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
